Autumn Rains

It was raining pretty well when I took this image from the Blue Ridge Parkway. The gap you see, thru the fog, on the far ridge is also the Parkway a few miles up the road.

Autumn’s Smile

Last evening, while crossing the James River on my way home, autumn smiled at me and posed for this image…I smiled back at her!

The Little Things

It’s the little things in nature that often bring us the most pleasure! What I loved about this is that the boulder, with a red maple growing on it, shifted at some time making the tree lean…the little offshoot in fall color is what’s special to me. I think it gives balance to an otherwise chaotic scene.

The Morning Calm

A cabin sits among the autumn trees, as the morning sun burns of the fog, and the smooth surface of the river reflects the shore…
